As independent funeral directors in Didcot and Wantage, we offer a very caring, professional service, tailored to your needs. Be reassured by over three decades of experience, which ensures the day will be everything you want, and need it to be.
Planning a funeral can be daunting, but we will be with you every step of the way, to ensure it is a smooth process, resulting in a day to commemorate and celebrate your loved one’s life.
We will help you with all of these processes.
Arranging the Funeral
Visit us at our homely arranging room, or if you’d prefer, we will visit you at home, at a time that suits you and your family.
Advice on Cost
You will receive a full written estimate, which will be signed, giving you confidence in the funeral we have arranged. Throughout the process, we will keep you informed about the fees involved.
Chapel of Rest
We have a lovely private chapel of rest at both our Didcot and Wantage funeral homes, where you may visit your loved one to say a final goodbye, or leave a letter, photo or small trinket in the coffin with them.
Ministers and Priests
We will arrange for a local minister or non-religious celebrant to take the funeral service.
Cemetary or Crematorium
We will liaise with the cemetery or crematorium on your behalf, and choose a convenient time and date.
Hearse and Limosines
We provide a traditional black funeral fleet, with a purpose-built motor hearse and chauffeur-driven limousines, which each carry up to six people, and we can arrange extra limousines if required.
Coffins
We have a wide range of traditional and contemporary coffins and caskets to suit every taste and budget, include personalised coffins.
Cremated Remains
At the time of the funeral, it’s not always easy to decide what you’d like to do with your loved one’s ashes.
Headstones and Memorials
A memorial headstone can help in the gradual acceptance of loss: it is a permanent tribute to your loved one, and can be personalised with your own words, or an inscription. We will help you find the right words to commemorate their life.
Donations to Charity
If you would like charity donations instead of flowers, we will accept and list donations, and forward them directly to the family or to the chosen charity at no extra cost.
Orders of Service Sheets
We can help with the layout and scanning of photos, and our graphic designers will compile the relevant information and produce a proof copy for you to check.
